Chandrababu Naidu has imposed the One Family, One Ticket Rule for the party in this election. Except for his own family and Kinjarapu family, no one is given an exception from this rule.
Accordingly, Paritala Sriram’s name did not figure in TDP’s first list, and his mother, Paritala Sunitha was given the Raptadu ticket.
Sriram is expecting a Dharmavaram ticket and has been working there for the last four years.
But then, media reports suggest that the BJP is likely to get the Dharmavaram ticket.
Gonuguntla Suryanarayana (Vardhapuram Suri) who joined the BJP immediately after the 2019 elections is the frontrunner.
While these reports are spreading like a wildfire, Sriram took to Twitter and posted a poster of his with a message – “బరిలో దిగాక వెనకడుగు వేసేది లేదు.. యుద్ధం గెలిచే వరకు విశ్రాంతి తీసుకునేది లేదు”.
Some people say Sriram may have got assurance from Chandrababu Naidu. Some people even are going to the extent of predicting that Sriram is going to contest as an Independent in case he is denied the ticket.
The second list of TDP and the first list of the BJP are likely on the 14th of this month. The clarity on the Dharmavaram ticket is likely to emerge on that day.
Vardhapuram Suri contested the 2019 elections on the TDP ticket and lost to YSR Congress’s Kethireddy Venkatarami Reddy with a margin of 15,666 votes.
