KTR said he doesn’t think about who will become KCR’s successor and is only focused on making KCR Chief Minister in the next four years. He said that the successor will be decided by the party and the people.
When asked about the rumoured rift with Harish Rao, KTR said, “As a senior leader, Harish Rao garu is doing his work, and I am doing my work. In the same way, Jagadish Reddy and Sabitha garu are doing their respective work. When all these seniors are working, why are you projecting it as a family rift between only two leaders?”
Responding to the family politics issue, KTR pointed out that Congress bigwigs Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and Priyanka Gandhi are working in Parliament. “Does that mean there is a power fight among the three of them? Why are you projecting these power rifts within a family?”
KTR went on to say that Rahul Gandhi is no longer the Congress’s Prime Ministerial candidate and that Priyanka Gandhi has also entered the picture. He said that Congress itself is divided over choosing between Rahul and Priyanka.
KTR said that his current aim is to make KCR CM once again, and regarding the successor of the party, he said that the call will be taken by the supporters and party leaders when the time comes.
