Why another loyalist left YSR Congress?

Koneru Prasad, one of the loyalist of Late YS Rajasekhar Reddy and one of the accused in Jagan’s Corruption cases contested for Vijayawada Lok Sabha segment in the last elections. However Koneru Prasad resigned to YSR Congress membership the other day. This totally came as a surprise and it is said that there are two reasons for this.

Jagan reportedly promised a Rajya Sabha seat for Koneru Prasad. He just asked him to contest the tough Vijayawada seat and spend as much as he can to win. Despite the best efforts, Koneru Prasad could not win the seat. And Jagan started ignoring him once the elections are complete and there is no word about the Rajya Sabha seat.

On the other side, BJP MLA Vishnu Kumar Raju raked the issue of beach sand scam in Assembly and an inquiry is ordered in to that. Koneru Prasad has a beach sand project in Srikakulam and is said to be involved in the scam. Being in YSRCP can making thing much tougher he thought and resigned to the party.
