Why Has Congress Withheld B-Forms?

The Congress party in Telangana has been actively working on candidate selection for the upcoming Assembly elections. While they have already announced 100 candidates, the party leadership is now completing the process for the remaining seats, with plans to make those announcements soon.

However, there has been an unexpected development in this regard, with the Congress high command deciding to reconsider the candidates for three constituencies.

Specifically, the candidates for Bodh, Vanaparthy, and Chevella have been put on hold for further review.

The high command received complaints against Vennela Ashok and Chinna Reddy, the previously announced nominees for these seats.

There have been reports that some leaders from the Bharatiya Rashtravadi Samanvaya Samiti (BRS) have been wearing the Congress scarf, indicating that they might be seeking Congress tickets.

While the Congress had given tickets to many such leaders, it seems they couldn’t accommodate all of them.

Recent surveys have shown that these leaders could potentially win the respective constituencies, which is why the high command is considering giving these three seats to candidates from the BRS and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Additionally, there is speculation that some key leaders from the BRS and BJP may join the Congress in the coming days.

This situation has led to the decision to put the three candidates on hold for further evaluation and adjustments.
