The BJP has missed another opportunity to dispel rumors about its alliance with BRS in Telangana. People are more concerned about the failure of the Kaaleswaram project than the liquor case.
While Congress leaders have attacked BRS for the irregularities in the much-hyped Kaaleswaram irrigation project, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has not made a single statement regarding Kaaleswaram.
Telangana BJP President Kishan Reddy mentioned that he has already visited Medigadda, implying there’s no need for Modi to visit. However, Modi’s silence on Kaaleswaram has led to speculation that the BJP supports KCR.
Rahul Gandhi has made similar allegations against the BJP. Even though a Central Team inquired and found issues with the project’s planning and design, resulting in the breakage of pillars at Kaaleswaram, Modi has not made any statements regarding the project’s irregularities.
KTR has asserted that the irrigation project received approval from the Union Ministry for Irrigation. This has put both the BJP and BRS in a difficult position and has given an advantage to Congress.
It appears that Modi and BJP leaders intend to maintain their silence on Kaaleswaram until the completion of the Telangana elections.
