Former MLA Dasari Balavardhan Rao is emerging as a likely candidate for the chairmanship of Vijaya Dairy, replacing Chalasani Anjaneyulu, who has held the position for the past five years. Anjaneyulu’s tenure has come under scrutiny, especially within the TDP circles, where there’s suspicion that he may have compromised with the ruling YSRCP to maintain his post.

TDP leaders are reportedly unhappy with Anjaneyulu’s lack of involvement in party activities over the last five years, despite securing the chairmanship politically through the party. His inactivity during crucial moments for the TDP, such as during elections and other party challenges, has raised concerns about his loyalty.
Recently, Gannavaram MLA Yarlagadda Venkatarao has openly expressed his frustration with Anjaneyulu. Venkatarao has accused him of engaging in false campaigns alongside YSRCP leaders, particularly spreading misinformation through Sakshi, a media outlet linked to YSRCP. Venkatarao also questioned Anjaneyulu’s absence during the party’s struggles and his failure to participate in the recent election campaigns.

Although Anjaneyulu claims he has worked for the TDP, many leaders in the Krishna district believe he played a double game, undermining the party’s interests. As a result, Chandrababu Naidu is said to have been informed of the situation, leading to the possibility that Anjaneyulu will be asked to step down from his position.
If this transition occurs, Balavardhan Rao’s ascension as chairman would likely be seen as a move to strengthen the TDP’s influence in the region, particularly in key positions such as Vijaya Dairy.
