Will AP govt increase land value in Vijayawada?

Andhra Pradesh government is seriously thinking on the lines of increasing the land value in and around Vijayawada. The land rates have gone up in the area with capital coming there, the government will get extra revenue from stamps and registrations in case the land value is increased on the lines of increasing land prices in the market. Couple of months back the government withdrew a similar thought since increased land value will increase the burden of acquiring lands for the capital.

But now government is planning to pool the lands for the capital from government lands and lands acquired from farmers in partnership model. So, government is feeling that the increasing the land values will only benefit them. However, the hike in land value will be limited to Vijayawada and surrounding places and not other parts of the state. This hike may take two more months to come in to effect and popular advise for the government to keep a tab on the skyrocketing prices is too impose a ban on land registrations til then.
