Facebook Founder Mark Zuckerberg is coming to India next week for a private event. It is expected that he will be meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi then. Facebook COO Sheril Sandberg visited India in July and hinted about having so much of scope for Facebook and governments working together. He stated that Facebook wants to work with the government especially in Education front.
It is said that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu sees this as an opportunity for bringing down Facebook to the state in one form or the other. He already began lobbying in Delhi through his sources so as to meet Zuckerberg and possibly convince him to open an office in the state. Currently India is the second biggest market for Facebook. Also the famous social networking site is very powerful for influencing youth. We will have to see if Chandrababu manages to impress Zuckerberg.
