Will Daggubati Venkateswara Rao help TDP?

The long standing rivalry between Chandra Babu Naidu and Daggubati Venkateswara Rao is well known. They together involved in dethroning Legend NTR but later parted ways due to differences over the TDP leadership then. DVR had been a flesh in thorn for Chandra Babu Naidu and Telugu Desam Party. He joined Congress and had been winning as MLA from Parchur. And his wife Purandhareeswari elevated to Union Minister in UPA government. The couple made it cure that NTR’s backstabbing episode remained fresh in the public memory.

But after the state division, Purandhareeswari joined BJP while DVR retired from active politics. But an interesting incident took place this morning. Parchur TDP candidate Eluri Samba Siva Rao visited DVR and requested his support to win Parchur Assembly. DVR had to keep differences with Chandra Babu and work for Eluri as Purandhareeswari’s poll prospects will depend on TDP cadre’s cooperation in Rajampeta Parliament constituency.
