Will Jagan Rue This Lost Opportunity?

Elections are done and dusted and the Voters’ Verdict is sealed in Electronic Voting Machines which will be opened only on May 23rd. TDP and YSR Congress have their own calculations about how the election has gone their way. This is a crucial election for YSR Congress because a Regional Party cannot survive two terms in Opposition.

Further, the YSR Congress is a new party which never tasted Power. If at all, YSR Congress loses this election, Jagan will lament not extending an olive branch to Pawan Kalyan. If YSR Congress and Janasena contested together in this election, Jagan would have the support of one of the strongest Communities in the state.

We shall be talking about a landslide victory and TDP may be confined to their lowest ever Tally. Jagan, however, burnt the bridge by abusing Pawan Kalyan. He touched sensitive issues like Pawan Kalyan marriages and that almost sealed whatever chances there are. From then, Pawan Kalyan started targeting Jagan more than Chandrababu.

In 2014 Elections, Chandrababu set his ego aside and went all the way to Pawan Kalyan’s house for his support. We do not know the quantum of the help he got but Pawan Kalyan certainly played his part in TDP Victory. If YSR Congress loses this election, Jagan will repent it forever.
