Telangana government had assured the industries in the state that they will no be making the industrial sector a scapegoat for the ongoing power supply in the state. Ahead of Summer, industries are expected to get power holidays crippling their production plans. Usually power holidays in Telangana start as early as January but government made sure that they are normal until now.
It is said that the Chief Minister ordered the electricity department to make sure power supply to industries is good until March 31st. He also assured them that government will make sure the power supply is low as possible after that. However this assurance is easy said but very difficult to implement.
The power demand in Telangana is slowly increasing as temperatures soar while all the options running out to acquire new power. With domestic and agriculture consumers most important, it has to be seen if the industries remain a priority for the government
