Will Sakshi Face The Question of Credibility?

Sakshi Media is an asset for YS Jagan Mohan Reddy while in the Opposition. The media house positioned itself against the then Government and played the role of an opposition paying dividends to Jagan. But then, the Opposition role is troubling the Chief Minister now as he is being asked to take the responsibility for it.

In the ongoing Assembly session, the Chief Minister had to disown Sakshi twice in Two days. On the first occasion, it is regarding Sona Masuri rice and Jagan went on to say that Sakshi is not an official gazette. He admitted to the house that Sakshi mistook Sannabiyyam (Fine Rice) to Manchi Biyyam (Good Quality Rice).

The other day, the Chief Minister once again disowned Sakshi which published an article against introducing English Medium in schools during Chandrababu‘s regime. “At the end of the day, it was Chandrababu Naidu in Power. No one would have stopped you if you introduced English medium in the schools,” the Chief Minister said trying to rubbish what Sakshi wrote.

Positioning Opposite to everything done in Chandrababu’s regime has become a problem for Sakshi and Jagan now. And if the disowning continues, it may very soon bring questions about the credibility of Sakshi, Political Observers say.
