The Central government has allotted World Bank for the proposed Solar Power Plants in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. Andhra Pradesh will get 2500MW Solar Plant, Telangana 1000MW and Madhya Pradesh 750MW Plants.
Asian Development Bank will be funding the Solar Power Plants proposed in Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. Andhra Pradesh had already acquired 5500 acres of land in Kadapa, Kurnool and Anantapur districts while Telangana government acquired 5438 acres land in Mahabubnagar district.
Central Solar Power Corporation, NEDCAP of both the Telugu States and the concerned Gencos have entered in to a consortium to take up the construction of this solarparks. With the land and financial sources are finalized, the construction of these plants are expected to begin very soon.
