The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has finalized Putta Mahesh Yadav as its candidate for the Eluru Lok Sabha seat.

Initially, the TDP considered nominating an expatriate named Gopal Yadav for the Eluru seat but later finalized Mahesh Yadav’s name. With this decision, the Yanamala family now holds three tickets, similar to the Yerranaidu family.

In addition to the Eluru seat, the TDP leadership has decided to field former MP and senior leader BK Parthasarathy for the Hindupuram Lok Sabha seat.

The candidate for the Anantapur Lok Sabha seat is yet to be finalized, but it is reported that a BC candidate named Bastipadu Nagaraju has been selected for the Kurnool seat.

Byreddy Sabari has been chosen as the candidate for the Nandyala seat, while Harish, the son of late Lok Sabha Speaker Balayogi, has been finalized for the Amalapuram (SC) MP seat.

Retired IPS officer Krishnaprasad, son-in-law of former minister Samanthakamani, is being considered for the Bapatla Lok Sabha seat.

Furthermore, Vizianagaram Lok Sabha seat has been allotted to the BJP in the seat-sharing arrangement. The third list of TDP candidates is expected to be released soon, with a workshop planned for candidates in Vijayawada.

The party aims to announce the names of as many candidates as possible before the workshop, with both MP and MLA candidates likely to be included.

As part of the alliance, TDP will contest in 144 assembly seats and 17 Lok Sabha seats.
