Yet Another Charge Sheet In Jagan’s Cases

CBI had filed yet another charge sheet pertaining to mine and land allocations to Penna Group during Jagan’s father, late YS Rajasekhar Reddy, tenure as chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, during 2004 to 2009. This is an additional charge sheet which pins down former ministers of (pre-bifurcation) Andhra Pradesh Dharmana Prasada Rao and Sabitha Indra Reddy, and some retired government officials.

This charge sheet makes the total count to 11 in this case. Dharmana currently quit Congress and joined Jagan’s YSR Congress. He is one of the key members of the party now. And on the other side, Sabitha Indra Reddy is politically less active since 2014 elections and there are rumours of her joining TRS.

These cases all points at various companies and individuals making huge investments in Jagan’s businesses when his father was the chief minister. These investments were quid pro quo for government favours such as land allotments, licences, etc through which Jagan amassed huge wealth to the tune of One Lakh Crore in about six years time.
