Young Indian Killed in New York Freak Accident

Little did 29-yr-old Harjot Singh know that it would be his last ride. 23-yr-old Ravinder Singh, who was driving, crashed the car by driving the wrong way on a Brooklyn highway resulting in a massive crash. Harjot Singh had been living in New York for the past 9 nine years.

The detectives presume Ravinder Singh could have been drunk when the accident happened in Bay Ridge. He was driving a grey SUV up an exit ramp at Fort Hamilton Parkway at about 2.30 am when he lost control. He is facing vehicular manslaughter, criminally negligent homicide, drunk driving and other charges.

While both Ravinder Singh and Harjot Singh were shifted to NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn, Harjot Singh died of injuries. He was in the back seat at the time of the accident.

Harjot was from Basant Pura in Barara, Haryana, India. He left behind his wife, a son, and twin daughters who are barely eight months old. A funding campaign has been raised by Gagandeep Kaur who is from Harjot’s family.
