Jagan in Dilemma About Government’s Social Media Strategy

It is raining Pink Slips in Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister’s Office ever since YS Jagan Mohan Reddy sworn-in as the Chief Minister. All the key officials in the CMO were replaced and Chief Secretary LV Subrahmanyam issued a memo ousting 42 Outsourcing Staff appointed by the Previous Government in the CMO.

The existing Social Media Team appointed by the Previous Government is also being shown the door out as Jagan feels that they are inefficient. Prashant Kishor’s I-PAC team handled the social media operations of YSR Congress when the party in Opposition. Jagan was mighty impressed with their work.

However, their working style is different as they have expertise in Political Propaganda. But handling the official handles of the Government will need a different kind of experience. So, Jagan is in two minds about how social media should be handled.

The official handles are cleared of the tweets about the previous government and there is no other activity. In the Twitter Handle of Andhra Pradesh CM, except for the live stream of Jagan‘s Swearing-in ceremony, there is nothing as of now. The activity will begin only after the new team is appointed.
