Ball In Jagan’s Court, But What Will AP Voters Say?

The last time YS Jagan did a Padayatra, he was super successful with it as he took YSR Congress to a record breaking 151 seat victory in the 2019 assembly election.

Now Jagan is plotting a similar trajectory before the 2029 election, as he appears to have understood the catastrophic effects of the misrule he delivered earlier.

Jagan has again communicated that he would be starting his Padayatra in a year and half from now, and this will lead the election campaign for YSR Congress during the 2029 election period. He is clearly coming up with a similar strategy as the 2019 polls again.

This would essentially mean that Jagan is hoping that the historic padayatra from 2019 will be the case in 2029 as well. But the crucial point of different year is obviously going to be the public work on the same.

It must be noted that the people of Andhra Pradesh have already seen Jagan’s rule and they wouldn’t be too fazed by the upcoming Yatra now. Winning back the trust of the public is going to be a task beyond comprehension this time.

It isn’t like Jagan will have a straightforward run at winning the trust of the public again this time around. The “one chance” phenomenon will not be in effect this time as the tailgate effects of the pre 2024 misrule will be evident.
