Viveka Murder Case: SC Notices To Avinash Reddy

Kadapa MP YS Avinash Reddy has been one of the primary alleged accused individuals in the murder case of YS Vivekananda Reddy. He was shielded from the law when the YCP was in power.

As the government has changed now, things are going against Avinash, and he has now landed in a legal soup. Today, he has been served with a notice by the Supreme Court in connection with Viveka’s murder case. Along with him, notices were served to another accused, Shiva Shankar Reddy’s son, Chaitanya Reddy.

The Supreme Court, led by Chief Justice Sanjeev Khanna, heard the case today regarding the petition filed by Viveka’s daughter, Suneetha Reddy, requesting the cancellation of Avinash Reddy’s bail. Suneetha, her husband Rajashekar Reddy, and CBI SP Ram Singh also filed a petition requesting the court to quash the cases filed against them.

Suneetha’s lawyer, Siddhartha Luthra, stated that Chaitanya Reddy threatened the approver by visiting him in jail. He noted that Chaitanya Reddy’s visit to the approver in jail violated the rules.

He further stated that Avinash Reddy is one of the accused in the case and requested the magistrate to add Avinash and Chaitanya Reddy as respondents.

After hearing the case, the Supreme Court added Avinash and Chaitanya as respondents and issued notices to them.
