YSRCP MLAs Not Interested In Party Positions

It appears that there is a sense of serious concern among some YSRCP MLAs regarding party positions, particularly the district president posts. Some MLAs have expressed their dissatisfaction, stating that they are unable to meet the expectations of their constituents and effectively manage the welfare of all constituencies in their district.

In an attempt to address these concerns, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy initially considered appointing some of these MLAs as district presidents. However, it is now reported that Jagan has reconsidered this decision after receiving feedback from the I-PAC team, which indicated that many of the district presidents were not performing well.

Sources within the YSRCP suggest that the party is planning to replace underperforming district presidents with capable leaders. It is natural for leaders to compete for positions within any political party. Jagan has given the MLAs time until August 31 to improve their performance, and he has warned them during a workshop in Tadepalli that the list of candidates for the next election will be released in September.

He has stated that a ticket for the next election will only be given to those who show positive progress in the Gadapa Gadapa (Doorstep) program, which aims to address the concerns of the people at their doorsteps.

There are reports circulating in party circles that the I-PAC team has submitted a report to Jagan indicating that the performance graph of many YSRCP district presidents is not satisfactory.

It is suggested that leaders like Kannababu, Jakkampudi Raja, Sriranganatharaju, Alla Nani, Perni Nani, Velampalli, and Sankaranarayana may find it challenging to win in the next election. Some YSRCP leaders who feel uncertain about their future in the party have reportedly approached Jagan personally, expressing their disinterest in the district president posts.
