YSRCP Trying to Rekindle Rayalaseema Sentiment

YSR Congress is looking at the right issue to corner the TDP government. After trying several issues, the party is of the opinion that it is better to use the Rayalaseema sentiment as the area has given the party the maximum number of seats in 2014 elections.

As a part of this, YSR Congress MLA, Gadikota Srikanth Reddy demanded that Tirupati should be made the second Capital of the state. He went on to say Tirupati is like the headquarter of all the areas and is attracting Lakhs of people every day.

Srikanth Reddy went on to say that Rayalaseema people will feel secured only when the second capital is setup in the area. He also found fault with the government for ignoring the High Court in Rayalaseema demand. Srikanth Reddy demanded a Transit Secretariat in the Second Capital.

But then, this kind of Regional Sentiments are often two-edged swords. Such sentiments may offend the people of other regions which will defeat the actual purpose. It has to be seen what is in store for YSR Congress with this new strategy.
