Recently during the NTR centenary celebrations, superstar Rajinikanth praised former chief minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, referring to him as a ‘visionary.’ Rajinikanth believes that Naidu’s vision for developing Andhra Pradesh will take the state to new heights in the country in the years to come.
He refrained from targeting Jagan or his YSRCP party and instead expressed his hopes that Naidu’s ambitious plan, Vision 2047, will come to fruition. Rajinikanth wished Naidu the strength and power to implement his vision and bring Andhra Pradesh to great heights in India.
This obviously didn’t go well with the members of YSRCP members. In particular, Kodali Nani spewed venom on Rajinikanth in the foulest of language. It has invited strong negative reactions, especially from Tamil fans of Rajinikanth.
The hashtag #YSRCPApologizeRajini is being trended by Rajinikanth fans on Twitter. They are criticizing the YSRCP government in a harsh way. On Tamil social media platforms, questions such as Our capital is Chennai. What is the name of your capital?” are causing a buzz along with many other memes.
The YSR Congress leaders’ attack on Rajinikanth has caused concern among the party leaders in Chittoor district, which has a significant Tamil population as it borders Tamil Nadu. The YCP leaders fear that the Tamil population’s displeasure over the attack on Rajini may impact the election outcome in many constituencies.
