What is the film about?Hyper Review Script
Soori loves his father like no one else and he will do anything to make him happy. What happens when one day his father, a sincere government officer, has a threat by a minister is what the film is all about.

How is Ram’s performance?
Ram is once again back to his usual mass, over the top, avatar with Hyper. One fills to understand if the title is Hyper because he acts that way or if the actor has been acting that way because of the title. Whatever be the case, there is too much over action on display. The loud dialogue delivery is irritating but good thing is it’s limited. Dances are alright. Overall it would be better if the avoids acts like this.

Direction By Santosh Srinivas?Hyper Review Directorial Dept
Santosh Srinivas has made two films, Kandireega and Rabhasa. Among the two first one was clearly the better and it had Ram in the lead too. With Hyper it’s safe to say that he is in Kandireega mould rather than Rabhasa.

The director sets a premise at the beginning and stretches it as far as he can with a predictable narrative. Even that is fine as we have many films made regularly in similar vein. As long as it manages to entertain no one really minds and that’s where the film falters. Hyper lacks the entertainment quotient required to make one sit through a predictable narrative. First half is alright in that regards but second half is just a pain to sit through.

The difference between the two halves is there is a romantic breather in the first half which gives audience something else to chew onto if they are not that engaged to main narrative. In the second half it’s just one point dragged till the end with no real emotions. The situations are contrived and emotions artificial. Coming to Santosh Srinivas, he clearly avoids some of the mistakes of his previous film in terms of fights but overall he misses the much needed freshness to pull off this routine venture.

Raashi Khanna and others?
Rashi Khanna has typical heroine role in a regular commercial film. Her presence is required only for songs and she dies well in that aspect. She looks glamorous and that’s it. Sathyaraj has the best role after hero in the film almost as good as hero. He is perfect for the part and makes it count in the important scenes like his first confrontation with the villain. Rao Ramesh playing the antagonist goes way over the top. This has been a problem with him whenever he plays villain roles and its seen here again. The friends gang is underutilized. Murali Prasad Sharma has decent role and he is fine in it. Prabhas Sreenu is wasted. Others have poorly written roles and don’t make an impact.

Music and other departments?Hyper Review Tech Dept.
Music by Ghibran is below par. Background music by Mani Sharma is okay. Cinematography is decent. Editing should have been better. Dialogues are ordinary with fee good one’s in between.

Highlights?
Sathyaraj villain scenes
Parts of first half
Decent climax Hyper Review Good.

Drawbacks?
Routine story
Feels very lengthy
Second half Hyper Movie Review Bad

Alternative Take
So many films are made with similar storyline and they all suffer from same sort of problems. Race Gurram is better alternative of the same styled story. The difference between the two is the entertainment.

Did I enjoy it?
No.

Will you recommend it?Hyper Review Final Word
