TDP leader Neelayapalem Vijay Kumar stated that the financial situation of Andhra Pradesh is worse. According to him, AP ranks within the top three states in terms of debt accumulation, as per the RBI’s report.
Addressing the media in Vijayawada, Vijay Kumar disclosed that collectively, states borrowed 88.4% of funds from the RBI in the fiscal year 2023-24, with AP accounting for 11.6% of this total debt.
Furthermore, Vijay Kumar criticized the current YCP government, claiming that it allocated less funding to the education sector compared to the previous TDP government. “Minister Botsa Satyanarayana says that as more people are getting educated, there aren’t enough jobs for them. Hospitals under Arogya Sri haven’t received any funds. For the past three years, the government has only used 5.6% of its budget for the health sector. Andhra Pradesh ranks 18th among states in how much they spend on health,” stated Vijay.
