She recalled how Puri came to Hyderabad right after finishing his graduation, tirelessly seeking opportunities in the film industry. She said that on numerous occasions when he went without food, surviving solely on water during his struggling phase.
Ammaji also revealed an incident where one of Puri’s most trusted workers looted Rs. 80 crores from him. Subsequently, Puri faced severe financial hardship due to a film’s failure, leading him to sell five of his houses to settle debts. Despite these challenges, Puri never caused any ill will towards the culprit, maintaining faith in his ability to recover financially.
