The Telangana government has reduced the security detail for former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao. Downgrading from Z+ category security, he will now receive Y-category security, comprising 4+4 gunmen as security personnel, accompanied by a single escort vehicle.
Simultaneously, the government has decided to grant 2+2 gunmen security to all former ministers who currently serve as MLAs in the state. Conversely, security has been entirely withdrawn for former MLAs and Ministers.
