Mukesh Ambani, the Chairman of Reliance Industries, recently received a threatening email demanding ₹20 crores with a warning of death if the money was not paid. The Mumbai police acted promptly after the security in-charge of Mukesh Ambani filed a complaint.
The threatening email contained a message that read, “If you don’t give us 20 crore rupees, we will kill you; we have the best shooters in India.” The police registered a case against an unknown individual under sections 387 and 506(2) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
An investigation into the matter is now underway, and this is not the first time that Ambani received similar death threats.
