Nayanthara’s Controversial Film Removed on OTT

Lady Superstar Nayanthara’s Annapoorani has been making controversy ever since its OTT debut on Netflix. A section of people were offended by its content and alleged that the film hurt the religious sentiments of Hindus.

The Vishwa Hindu Parishad filed a complaint against the makers regarding the same. Now, the film’s co-production house, Zee, issued an apology letter to the Vishwa Hindu Parishad. The makers stated that they had no intention to hurt the sentiments of Hindus and Brahmins.

Meanwhile, Annapoorani was also removed from Netflix. Zee stated that the film will be removed from Netflix until the necessary edits are made.
