Africans Are Laughing At Indians For Food!

Indian Food

In this lazy phase of doom scrolling, you must have come across various food vlogging channels on your social media. While some of them are really nice, a few local street food vendors in India lack what we call food hygiene. It seems that Africans have found a source of entertainment in making fun of Indian street food.

In a few videos going viral, people from Kenya are seen making fun of our street food by showing the lack of hygiene Indian food. In one video, a man dressed as an Indian street food vendor puts his feet in a huge pan filled with veggies and then serves the same unhygienic food to a customer, taking a jibe at our street food.

However, Indians being Indians, took matters into our hands and started giving perfect replies to the country wasting valuable food donated by the UN just to make a not-so-funny sketch video. Another person took offense by labeling them as cannibals, quoting a recent news story from Nigeria, saying, “At least we don’t eat each other.”

Another one tweeted, comparing our GDP with the African continent, stating that these African countries have lost their tasteful talent which was humor and they just want to offend Indians. Although Indians never fail to give a befitting reply to these attention-grabbing videos, some people across these sites took these roasts sportingly, saying that such intercontinental clashes are a sign that the world is healing.

Although we Indians are great in defending ourselves, we must not forget that this problem of hygiene in street food is actually a serious one. The shopkeepers while selling quick food often forget the hygiene part which can lead to many health hazards. Even buyers must take care by purchasing items only from shops enabled with proper sanitization and maintenance.
