Ever since the takeover of Air India by the TATA group, there have been speculations about rebranding the image of Air India and how it will unfold. The company recently launched a new logo and look for all its flights and now Air India is going to have a completely new look for its staff. The company unveiled the new uniform for the crew.
This is a big step in the rebranding phase of the company and they are making sure the effort is worth it. The new uniform is designed by the famous fashion designer Manish Malhotra. The new designs will be worn by all flight crew of Air India’s first A350-900 fleet.
The new uniform maintains traditionality with contemporary style and practicality. The female crew will be seen wearing a ready to wear saree with shades between red and purple. The shades of the saree will also vary with the rank of the crew member.
The change is an attempt to move forward towards JRD Tata’s dream of making Air India a world class carrier. The company is hopeful of returning to its glorious days many decades back.
