Anand Mahindra is one of the few billionaires in India who interacts with the public on a regular basis. Not only that, the chairman of Mahindra & Mahindra, has appreciated hard work via his social media and even sent gifts to congratulate them.
The latest person to catch his eye is Naushad Khan, the father of India’s latest test player, Sarfaraz Khan who made his debut against England in the ongoing Test series. The 26-year-old batsman got his dream cap from former Indian bowler, Anil Kumble. He proved his worth with his batting, scoring 62 just off 66 balls before an unfortunate run out ended his maiden innings.
Sarfaraz had been talked about for years but it was yesterday that he got to showcase his talents. His father, Naushad Khan, did his best to allow his son to play cricket, even when Sarfaraz was in a bad form. The story that his father told speaks of perseverance, a determination to not stop and to keep chasing dreams and sacrifices that everyone in his family had to make.
Impressed by the efforts put in by Sarafraz and his father’s works behind the scenes, Anand Mahindra offered to gift him a Thar via his X account.
