Director and writer Anurag Kashyap is one of the finest filmmakers India has had in this century. His movies always comes with an auteristic filter that pushes one to wander in the world he portrays.
With a filmography like his, it is evident that anyone would want to work with him. The craze to learn from a big director is more among the younger ones who wants to make it big. In that attempt, many artists who doesn’t match Kashayp’s genius approach him as well.
To prioritise his time, Kashyap has launched a new scheme where he has fixed his rate for meetings which vary depending upon the duration.
For a fifteen minutes long session, one has to pay ₹1,00,000 to him, while his hourly rates are even higher with ₹5,00,000 for an hour. The amount has to be paid in advance so that Kashyap gets paid regardless the customer benefits or not.
This statement came on his official Instagram account and as expected netizens found another meme material.
How will it affect Bollywood and it’s creative process is very difficult to answer, given Kashyap is the only one who has come out openly with such a plan. Whether others will follow the suit or not will be interesting to watch.
