Human Parcel Protest Shocks Benguluru

A shocking incident in Benguluru has raised serious concerns after a woman allegedly tried to ship her own father as a “human parcel.” The act was reportedly meant to protest rising travel fares ahead of Ugadi and Eid.

The incident was not accidental. It was a planned stunt involving the woman, her father, her husband, her mother-in-law, and her father-in-law. The family intended to create social media attention around increasing bus and train fares.

The situation took a dangerous turn at the shipping company. Staff noticed movement inside a parcel while shifting it. When they opened the bag, they found an elderly man struggling to breathe inside.

The courier company immediately alerted the Vyalikaval Police. Officers reached the spot and found the situation alarming. The elderly man was rescued in time, preventing a potential tragedy.

During questioning, the daughter admitted the act was staged. She said it was meant to show that “couriering a person” felt like the only option due to fully booked transport services.

The family was later taken to the Vyalikaval police station. They issued a recorded apology to both the police and the public. They accepted that their actions were irresponsible and dangerous.

Officials strongly criticised the stunt. Police stated that the act could have led to suffocation and death. They warned against such reckless methods of protest.
