An alarming fraud has surfaced in Bihar, where young men were allegedly lured with money to become fathers. The incident has been dubbed the “All India Pregnant Job” scam by netizens, who are sharing videos and memes online.
While many are mocking the scam, it also highlights the severe unemployment and desperation among Indian youth. Several young men reportedly fell for the scheme in the hope of financial security.
The racket was reportedly operated by a group based in rural areas of Bihar. The operation was busted by the Nawada police, who discovered offices set up in villages.
According to reports, the group ran helplines and portals to appear legitimate. They targeted unemployed men across the region with attractive offers.
Under the scam, childless women were said to approach men with offers to make them pregnant. In return, the men were promised 5 to 13 lakh rupees along with a 2 BHK house.
Those who showed interest were asked to fill out forms. They were also made to pay registration fees along with GST, ranging between 5,000 and 20,000 rupees.
Many victims reportedly lost money after paying the fees. Once complaints started coming in from multiple individuals, police officials took action.
Authorities are now investigating the scale of the scam. They are trying to determine whether it was limited to Bihar or extended to other states as well.
