Man Writes Exam Wedding Attire

In a rare and wonderful incident, a groom from Patna came for the UP Police constable exam held on Sunday in his wedding attire. The groom, identified as Rishikesh Kumar, had his marriage on Saturday night and traveled for about 200 km to reach the exam center which is located in Muzaffarpur district.

Kumar stated that there was no other choice left for him but to write the test in his wedding outfit since he did not have the time to change the dress. He repeated that he had the blessings of his bride and family whom he thanked for their support. He said that he had been working hard toward the test as well as the exam was near.

The constable exam for Uttar Pradesh is conducted by the UPPRPB, Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board, and is very competitive to fill up 60244 constable posts. The examination is made up of four papers such as; General Hindi, General Awareness, Numerical / Mental Aptitude and Reasoning. The exam happened on February 17 and 18, 2024, and around 48 lakh candidates wrote the paper.

The UPPRPB has declared the rumours about the paper leak circulating on social media as fake and that the exam was conducted smoothly and transparently. The board also took a resolution to release the answer key and results in its official website shortly.
