Humans has always find a beautiful companion in their pets. Their relationship has always been a dance of loyalty and unconditional love.
An interesting case of such a relationship was discovered when a man was aided by Lost Angels Fire Department Air Ops emergency personnel after risking his life to rescue his beloved dog from turbulent river currents caused by severe weather.
The incident happened around 2:45 p.m. Monday when authorities received a distress call about a man stranded in the Los Angeles River. According to the report, the person had jumped into the water to rescue his dog when he was swept away by high speeds.
Upon arrival on scene, LAFD Air Ops assessed the situation by helicopter. Video footage captured the tense moment as a helicopter was hovering down to approach the prone man. Despite the difficult conditions, firefighters were able to pull a conscious person from the water.
Miraculously, the dog was able to navigate the hazardous currents and swim to safety on its own. Both the man and his beloved partner suffered only minor injuries. The man was transported to a local hospital for treatment, while the dog was taken to an animal shelter.
LA Fire reported that despite the distressing experience, the dog appeared “happy to be alive” and exhibited eagerness to be reunited with its owner.
