Mumbai Indians franchise came under the pump over the last few months for abruptly ending Rohit Sharma’s captaincy run and appointing Hardik Pandya as the captain of the side.
Today, there was a shocking set of events at Mumbai’s press conference that had new captain Hardik Pandya and head coach Mark Boucher in attendance.
When Mark Boucher was asked to name one reason why Rohit was replaced by Hardik Pandya as the captain, the head coach refrained from answering while Hardik looked in the opposite direction.
When a journalist questioned Hardik if he really had the captaincy arrangement in his contract, Mumbai Indians management intervened and asked the media not to question on this matter.
When Hardik was asked if he spoke with Rohit about the captaincy change, he replied that he didn’t get the chance to actually speak about this because Rohit has been traveling a lot lately.
Every time a question came up about Rohit, the team either skipped the question or gave vague answers. Before Rohit joined MI they had 0 IPL titles and once he joined and became the captain, he won them 5 titles. Now, on top of abruptly ending his captaincy, Mumbai has disrespected Rohit in the press conference today with their take it easy attitude, commented a fan of the side.
