Police inspector Taresh Kumar Soni reported that as per the preliminary investigation, the Paytm staffer was under stress for the last few days fearing that the company might close down and he might lose his job. Taresh further said that they are still investigating over the matter and looking for further links.

The police have however not found any suicide note from the place of incident which does add a further layer to this case. Another thing to be noted is that recently the Reserve Bank of India had barred Paytm Payments Bank Limited from accepting deposits and credits from any customer March 15 onwards.

This incident not only highlights the need of mental health awareness in the nation but also sheds light on the continuous trouble that Paytm is having to go through. Following the recent RBI order, this event certainly does not add in good name for the company and it’ll be interesting to see how things now unfold.
