Recently, social media has seen posts and videos where Prime Minister Modi’s face is printed on women’s two-piece outfits. Some users are cracking jokes, while others are seriously offended. Either way, it reflects a disturbing drop in the level of public discourse.
This is not just about one political figure. It’s about the image of Bihar. Such content damages the dignity of our democratic process and makes the entire state look bad.
Leaders like Nitish Kumar and Prime Minister Modi must take strict action. There should be clear boundaries in political messaging. Free speech does not mean free vulgarity.
Humour in politics is welcome, but it should be smart, not sleazy. Responsible campaigning is not just a moral duty—it’s a necessity for a healthier democracy.
