A 24-year-old student from Odisha, Roshan Kumar Patra, was found dead under suspicious circumstances in his hostel room in Kota, Rajasthan. He was preparing for the NEET-UG exam while staying in the Rajiv Gandhi Nagar area with his cousin and friends.
According to reports, Roshan did not leave his room that day. His friends noticed his absence during lunch and alerted the hostel staff. When the door was broken open, Roshan was found lying on his bed with vomit near his mouth.
He was immediately taken to a nearby hospital but was declared dead on arrival. The police have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of death.
Roshan’s family has denied the possibility of suicide, demanding a thorough inquiry and suggesting possible foul play behind the incident.
Roshan had moved to Kota only a few months ago to prepare for medical entrance exams. His sudden death has once again raised serious concerns about student safety and mental health in the coaching hub, where thousands of students arrive each year to pursue their academic dreams.
