An Indian origin man has been arrested for molesting a woman in Singapore. The 61 year old man reportedly molested a domestic help in an elevator. He has been sentenced for 10 months for the sexual assault. This is not the only act of violence committed by the man.
According to the police report, the man offered money to the domestic help to buy a drink. She initially refused but later accepted the money. The man followed the woman to the elevator of the building where he got inside the lift with her.
The man prevented the woman from pressing the elevator button and started molesting her inside the lift. He molested her for nearly 90 seconds. All his actions were recorded in the CCTV footage of the elevator and he was arrested the very next day.
After being out on bail for a month, he got into another dispute and punched a man with a metal chain. He has pleaded guilty of outraging the modesty of a woman and voluntarily causing hurt to another person with a dangerous weapon.
