He was sent to the Chanchalguda Jail in the city. The police have filed four sections against Praneeth. He was booked under Section 67B of the IT Act (Information Technology Act), POCSO Act (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act), Section 79 of the IT Act and Section 294 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

The entire social media was enraged over Praneeth for making obscene comments about a video featuring a little girl.

The administrations of both Telugu states also took the matter seriously and Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy himself has responded to the issue personally.

Yesterday, Praneeth’s brother Ajay Hanumanthu who is known as Aye Jude posted a video online condemning the behaviour of Praneeth and also mentioned that he is not someone who would consume content of that sort.

Since Praneeth’s father was an IAS officer, there was hesitance initially if the police would arrest Praneeth. However, he had been arrested and it is a victory for all social media users who raised their voices and fought for his arrest.
