A newlywed couple in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, has come under fire for a reckless display during their wedding celebrations. A video posted on Instagram shows the couple dancing on top of a moving car, drawing both social media attention and legal consequences.
The video captures the bride, dressed in a lehenga, seated on the bonnet of the car while the groom stands on the roof, waving a sword. They danced to the song Ishq Di Galli Vich from the 2005 film No Entry as the vehicle moved through the streets.
What was likely meant to be a moment of fun has sparked serious criticism online. Viewers condemned the act as foolish and dangerous, with many questioning why anyone would risk their lives, and the lives of others, in such a manner. The stunt clearly violated traffic rules and showed a disturbing disregard for public safety.
Gwalior traffic police acted quickly, tracing the vehicle to an address in Sirole Dharikheda Jagra Road. A challan was issued to the car owner for traffic violations.
Subedar Abhishek Raghuvanshi of the Gola Ka Mandir Traffic Station confirmed that further action may follow, as the incident not only endangered the couple but also put other commuters at serious risk.
