Ekta Kapoor has delivered an unexpected blockbuster with her new film Crew that hit the big screens on the 29th of March. The success of the film has prompted the producers to give the movie a sequel within 10 days of its release. The 2 hours heist drama had a great reception from the audience and did well at the box office.
Made at a budget ₹75 crore, Crew has already done business of more than ₹100 crore and is still going good. Producer Rhea Kapoor hinted that a sequel for the film is possible. The writers of the film have an idea for a sequel which the producers might be interested in.
Crew has been directed by Rajesh A Krishnan and features Kareena Kapoor, Tabu and Kriti Sanon in the lead roles. This female led movie managed to find the perfect chemistry between the actors and delivered on the money.
Rhea accepted that she’s afraid of sequels but might actually do it this time. The open-ended ending of the film makes a sequel an even bigger possibility. However, there’s no clarity about when the sequel will be in work.
