Summers have arrived, and people are planning to escape the heat by heading to hill stations. Places like Shimla and Mussoorie are obvious choices for them. These places provide us with the peace and stress-free environment that we crave while living in cities.
Though tourism is the primary source of the economy in such areas, too many tourists come with their own issues. Raghav Juyal, a popular dancer and choreographer who is a native of Dehradun, Uttarakhand, has a message for us.
The guy recently shared a few videos showing the amount of litter scattered in such beautiful places. He, along with a bunch of locals, went to clean these tourist locations and collected waste bottles and cans.
They found out that many broken wine bottles were also thrown there, which were even difficult to collect. Raghav, in that video, requested his audience to take care of the places they visit and try not to throw garbage here and there.
It’s not just his audience who should hear this; everyone who wishes to see these beautiful places survive in the long run must care for the places they visit and try to initiate things on their own. Because if you leave the cleanliness to others, it begins a chain reaction that ultimately turns these places into junkyards. Do let us know your thoughts on the issue.
