Shocking Attack At Entire Telangana Police

We’re living in the digital age and there’s always a debate around privacy or perhaps the myth of it in digital space. The Telangana police has come under an alleged data breach that has exposed sensitive information from the police database to hackers.

It is claimed that the TSCOP app of Telangana police was hacked and data of thousands of police personnels, criminals and gun license holders was leaked. The hacker allegedly posted data like contact information and name from the database.

The hack is not limited to cops and criminals and one person on the internet claimed that the information of everyone who stayed in a hotel room in Hyderabad had their sensitive information sent to an American crypto firm.

As we live in the age of surveillance, the question around ethics is always there. Features like facial recognition have been heavily criticized by a group of people because of potential hacks like these.

Hyderabad is the city with the most surveillance cameras in the world. It is seen as a step forward in keeping the city safe but it is also putting lives of many at danger because of hacks into the system.
