The tragic incident caused the ship to catch fire, and also resulted in several individuals falling in the waters, causing multiple 911 calls.
The incident took place in Baltimore and in these disturbing times what came as a slight sigh of relief was that the incident was not driven by any terrorist organisation or motives, as reported by the police. The Fire department of the city talked about the gravity of the situation, calling it a dire emergency and how the event could develope into a mass casualty event.
The incident took place early morning around 1:30 am and has also been caught in tape. The video of the disheartening event shows the bridge slowly succumbing to the waters beneath it until it totally breaks apart. The video, since then, has gone viral on the internet and been shared by multiple news outlets and important personalities like Elon Musk and others.
As daylight struck, the sum of the damage caused still remained uncertain, however, early reports by significant media outlets speak of it being a significant one.structural loss.
