Identity theft is a crime where someone attempts to assume another person’s identity, but recently, a similar yet distinctly different case has come to light. Imagine going for an important office task, and unexpectedly, your identity is swapped with a stranger’s. Alternatively, consider the scenario of being mistakenly called Sunny Leone.
In a recent viral video, a distraught man recounts his experience of his personal information being switched with that of an adult star on an examination form. The man, named Dharmendra Singh, applied for the UP Police Constable exam and correctly filled out his form. However, when he received his admit card, he was astonished to find Sunny Leone’s name and photo instead of his own. Strangely, the registration number and other details remained unchanged.
Given the identity mix-up with Sunny Leone, he couldn’t attend the exam and reported the incident to the police, where a news reporter recorded his complaint.
