Ever since Hardik Pandya became the captain of Mumbai Indians, his life as a cricketer has changed as the fans who once cheered for him can be seen booing him in the stadium. The controversy took a new turn on Monday as some fans claimed that they were not allowed to carry posters and banners which favored Rohit Sharma, ex-captain of Mumbai Indians.
Some fans shared a video on X in which a claim has been made that the authorities didn’t allow such posters inside. This claim has not been verified and on the contrary, many fans supporting Rohit Sharma with posters were spotted inside the stadium during the match.
Mumbai Indians fans were not happy with the transition of captaincy and Hardik Pandya was booed by the Wankhede crowd during the toss. Toss presenter Sanjay Manjrekar asked the fans to ‘behave’ during the toss when they started booing.
Fans are claiming that excess support for Rohit is because of their protest against Hardik and could be a reason why they don’t want many Rohit Sharma posters. However all these claims are not verified and could be false.
