We have seen many videos of politicians losing their cool and showing their true colors during debates and discussion in the parliament or assembly. However, most incidents of violence at the place where law is made is generally believed to take place in countries like in India, Pakistan or Bangladesh. This viral video from Georgia can serve as proof that Europe is no better than us.
The footage is from Georgia’s Parliament where an opposition leader and an MP can be seen getting into physical altercation after the first punched the latter. The dispute started during a discussion at the center of which was a controversial law.
The viral video shows an opposition leader punching an MP very hard on his head. The two got into a nasty fight and security had to come in and stop them from fighting. The whole parliament turned into a chaotic mess within a few seconds.
The opposition party is protesting against a new law which according to them is allegedly inspired by neighboring Russia which is famous for using authoritarian laws on their citizens. It is believed that the law can be used to curb any dissent just the way Russia does.
